About bichon frises
“Bichon Frise” literally translates to “curly lap dog,” which is certainly an accurate description of these little white dogs! Made popular by their use as circus dogs, Bichons love attention and excel in learning and performing tricks. Bichons are lively, cheerful, and unconditionally devoted to their owners. They also tend to be more allergy-friendly, because they are non-shedding and have hair instead of fur. Bichons are playful and affectionate, are great with children, are smart, and are happy living in an apartment.

bichon frise Care
The Bichon Frise is known for its gorgeous curly coat of white hair and rich black point. The Bichon requires regular bathing and professional grooming to keep their coat from matting or appearing dull. Using a dog shampoo meant for white coats and eye wipes will keep their coat pristine.
While the Bichon Frise doesn't shed and is allergy-friendly, its curly coat is prone to matting. Regular grooming is required to prevent potential skin conditions.
The Bichon is a spunky, happy-go-lucky, and friendly breed. They love to play and are known to have sudden bursts of explosive energy that are referred to as the "Bichon Blitz".
While they originated in the Mediterranean and are descendants of the Water Spaniel, most Bichon Frises don't have a love of water even though they are decent swimmers when trained. They do however enjoy agility and obedience training.
